Will the Detroit Real Estate Market Turnaround?
Many people are wondering if the real estate market in Detroit is going to turnaround anytime in the near future. Of course, those in Detroit are not the only ones asking this question. Both buyers and sellers all over the country are interested in knowing when the bad times are going to subside. And of course, those who work in the real estate industry, such as agents, brokers, and lenders, also hope that things will get better sooner rather than later.
Is there any way of knowing if a turnaround is coming in the near future? Most experts feel that the real estate market will begin to pick back up early in 2009 throughout most of the country. That being said, it is difficult to know what areas of the country will be affected positively. Most experts would agree the Metropolitan Detroit real estate market has been affected because we are slowly losing an industry we once thrived on. The auto industry is laying more people off than we can count, and what worse is the people they are re-hiring they are doing so at half the amount of pay. This will have an affect on our real estate market for some time to come. Although it seems like a long time, patience is important in this matter.
Even when the market in Detroit is bad, homes still sell and buyers still shop. The only difference is that things are a bit slower than they would be if the market was hot. Prices are less than what they were a few years ago, but it's important to note that the same amount of homes are still selling each month. As the economy continues to fight its way out of the doldrums, the real estate market will pick up as well. Everybody involved in Detroit real estate is hoping that this will begin to happen soon enough!

I believe that now is the best time to purchase a home if you are looking for one. I think it's impossible to time the bottom, but why not get in now before things heat up. In the housing market, unless you're buying it for one year, a good deal will still be a good deal 10 years from now even if you didn't find the bottom. Thanks mark for finding us our dream house!
