The Zoo Boo!
October in Metro Detroit is home to a host of hauntingly fun events and activities. One such tradition is the Zoo Boo at the Detroit Zoo in Royal Oak. The Zoo Boo offer s a unique experience for children and adults alike as they wander through the darkened zoo in search of Halloween treats.
One of the special activities at the Zoo Boo is the Haunted Reptile House (as if it wasn’t scary enough in daylight) where inhabitants will be joined by some spooky ghouls. There is also a Boo Revue tent where live entertainment will be on hand for all to see. This year’s also featuring Dracula’s Haunted Castle, a chilling and thrilling nighttime adventure ride.
While there will certainly be an abundance of things to see and do, this is a family-friendly event. The characters and games are intended to be fun, not scary, to little ones. The October nights do get chilly, so be sure and dress for the weather.
