Have a ball at Dodge Park in Commerce Michigan!

Whew! It’s getting chilly out there, so take advantage of the last few temperate weekends we’ll have and steal out to Dodge Park in Commerce Township. This newly remodeled park area has plenty of space for relaxation and fun. The park is also glowing with the brightly hued leaves rustling about in the wind and underfoot. This cool park features a dirt nature trail for outdoor lovers to spy squirrels and deer, as well as paved paths suitable for biking or blading. Horseshoe pits up front set the stage for a little friendly competition among friends. Bring a picnic lunch and linger awhile, just enjoying the scenery. Your half-pints will enjoy the expansive and modern play equipment just begging to be climbed on. You could also just bring your boys and toss the football around in the large grassy area.

The park is under construction, and future projects include soccer fields, a water play area, a dog park, basketball courts and sand volleyball, which will make the park an impressive outdoor entertainment complex. One of the best attributes of Michigan is that we have an abundance of beautiful parks, and Dodge Park is no exception. It’s a nice change of pace from the larger and more bustling parks in the region, and is free of charge.

Dodge Park is located on the Southeast corner of West Commerce and South Commerce (Carroll Lake Rd).
