As Michigan residents, the cleanliness of our water has a significant impact on our lives and livelihood. Fortunately, Congress has decided to pass a bill extending a program to clean up pollution and sediment from The Great Lakes. Not only are our waterways a source of beauty and recreation, but they also provide our water supply. Contaminated lakes put the health of animals and humans alike at risk, so it is important to help our lakes as clean as possible. The passing of this bill makes great strides in continuing the beautification of our lakes.
